Itchy Eyes are in full bloom!

The Spring season is here!! As much as we love it since we get the nicer weather, and brewing some of our favorite cold brew teas, other people might not. All of my family has dealt with those itchy eyes, runny noses, and oh the sneezing as the trees start to bloom.

Not familiar with stinging nettles, here is just a few reasons why we love them!

  • They are considered a super weed. Loaded with nutrients especially magnesium, and calcium. Since they are a liquid form they are more easily absorbed and metabolized in the body.
  • Since the high amounts of magnesium they also help calm and relax the body. Drinking a cup at night before bed can actually help promote a restful sleep.
  • They are a natural anti-histamine. So although they do help stopping the histamine response they also can help prevent a histamine response.
  • They give you a boost of energy! They nourish the adrenals to help with your sleep awake cycle, and to prevent you from having that afternoon crash. Drinking them consistently for a few weeks will give you the best result!

They have many other benefits and you can see all of them by checkout our FB page Teas With a Purpose.

Starting this Thursday, March 11th we will have special pricing  on our Stinging Nettles. They come in 1 ounce and half ounce bags by weight.

How to make an infusion:

Put 1/4 cup in a 32 ounce jar. Add one cup of cold water followed by 3 cups of boiling water. Cover and let it sit overnight or for 6-8 hours. Strain and drink 1-2 cups a day. Keep cold!
